What is the Valley Center High School Foundation?
The Valley Center High School Foundation was founded as
a non-profit 501©3 corporation to bridge the gap between the increasing cost of education and insufficient funds from the
district and state. Many in the community saw this gap widening
and moved to take positive steps to provide both academic and athletic enhancements for the students of Valley Center High
School.
The Foundation serves as the umbrella organization to
coordinate the fundraising and volunteer efforts of its member groups: Arts, Agriculture, Athletics, Clubs, Memorial Funds,
Visual and Performing Arts, Woodworking as well as the
Endowment.
Over the years the Foundation has grown from a simple “booster” organization to an institution whose goal is to grow the
Endowment to One Million Dollars in order to lessen the high
school’s dependence on public funding. After 20 years of
fundraising we are close to one half of that amount.
